Ref 0020 9 x Reynard the Fox reusable latex Chess set moulds molds.
Height of King approx 19cm.
“Reynard the Fox” chess carved to the designs produced by von Kaulbach for Goethe’s translations are most rare. Reynard is featured as the Bishop with a Lion and Lioness as King and Queen. The Knight is a Horse, Rook a Bear and the Pawns Monkeys. There is in the old Historisches Stadt-Museum in Munich a somewhat similar set attributed to von Kaulbach himself.

Requires approx 6Kgs of Stonecast (not included but available from the Materials page) to make a complete 32 piece Chess Set.
