The Chinese claim to have invented chess some 2000 years ago during the Hansing campaign. Here is a fine example of a beautifully carved 19th century Chinese chess set. The original set was carved in Indian Ivory with each piece mounted upon an octagonal base.

Requires approx 3kgs of Stonecast or Polyester Resin to make a full 32 piece chess set.
